Alder Hey Children's Hospital - Access Control

A leader and pioneer in specialist health care for children, Alder Hey, has 270 beds, 16 digitally enhanced operating theatres, treats over 270,000 children every year and covers an area of 51,000 square meters, the size of more than 7 football pitches. The Hospital was challenged to provide a fully digital security solution, enabling and ensuring the safety of staff and patients whilst allowing seamless integration of new security technology befitting a modern and innovative building for staff and patients at a time of need.

Great Ormonds Street Children's Hospital CCTV

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), the world leader and pioneer in specialist health care for children, were faced with an outdated legacy CCTV system. They required an upgrade to digital IP based cameras in a challenging and busy 24/7 environment, where the security and safety of patients, family and staff was paramount at a time of need.

Peel Ports UK Great Yarmouth CCTV

The Challenge was to help Peel Ports enhance Port Security whilst complying with industry regulations. To improve their operational proficiencies, they needed an advanced flexible HD surveillance system that could leverage the existing network infrastructure and integrate this with the Port’s current analogue based cameras. There was a need to increase safety by leveraging Thermal Imaging, with a centrally based control room and a wider deployment within Great Yarmouth.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) sought a new building with green credentials that could serve as a centre for students wanting to go self-employed or start a business. The building had to reflect these ambitions and create a very low carbon footprint supporting innovative design & local materials. Therefore, installing surveillance and access control devices must be efficient & strategically installed, in keeping with The Enterprise Centre & UEA's goals.

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital - CCTV

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) was faced with a life cycle change to their CCTV system, which was scheduled for updating. This included a migration from an analogue to a digital platform, a control room refit and a new design layout. The project delivery needed to be seamless due to the control room being the main hub for all communications and the control centre for 24/7 emergency responses for the Hospitals security team

University of East Anglia - Bob Champion Research & Medical Centre - Access Control Case Study

The University of East Anglia (UEA) urgently needed a new building to develop a groundbreaking research and a medical centre. Serving as a link with the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, after a generous donation from the former grand national winner, the Bob Champion Research & Medical Centre was born. The challenge was developing both laboratories for fighting infectious diseases and a working medical centre under one roof. Therefore surveillance and access control had to be provided at the highest standard to serve the respective disciplines.

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital - Commend Lift

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) serves more than 850,000 people. Offering a 24x7 365 days a year service, it was therefore paramount that the lifts upgrade was managed with minimum disruption to staff and patient care. With an ever increasing amount of patients to serve NNUH has to find and utilise the latest technology and cost effective hardware solutions available.

St Andrew's Healthcare - Fitz Roy House

Challenge
St Andrews Healthcare were challenged to design & build a new ‘Home-from-home’ for up to 110 adolescent patients, with a budget of £45 million as part of Europe’s largest mental health care facility yet for young people. Firstly, the new building had to fit within the heritage of the existing Northampton site. Secondly, it must deliver the safety and security needed: the patients and staff need to be kept safe at all times, and individual wards will require differing levels of security, and thirdly it all has to create an environment that is warm and welcoming, helping patients recovery.

Norwich City Football Club - CCTV

Challenge
Norwich City Football Club (NCFC) must comply with strict Football Association (FA) guidelines and standards. Failure to comply results in postponed matches, additional police reinforcements and loss of earnings. Video surveillance systems have to be scalable and fit for purpose, utilising the latest cameras and servers. With over 27,000 regular supporters, it is paramount to safeguard visitors at Carrow Road with an integrated system that is fully scalable with large video storage capabilities.

University of East Anglia - Blackdale CCTV and Access Control

Challenge
The University of East Anglia (UEA) were faced with the challenge of building Blackdale, a new student accommodation site complete with 915 beds, access control doors, intercom and a complete CCTV surveillance solution as part of a £30m project.

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Access Control

Faced with a healthcare facility that included independent buildings and car parks, the building owner identified that the current legacy access control solution was coming to the end of its life cycle and was in need of future proofing to provide monitoring of entrances, exits and other sensitive areas ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Southend University Hospital CCTV and Control Room

Challenge
Southend University Hospital Trust (SUHT) were faced with servers at the end of life, and the need for a new back end system to leverage current cameras to full resolution, plus introducing Thermal and PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) options. With an increasingly busy A&E department and 737 beds serving 750,000 people, new installations and upgrades were to be completed with no impact on daily operations across the hospital.
